I believe that a beautiful, “custom” kitchen or bathroom is created through thoughtful and practical design choices that reflect the homeowners design style and lifestyle - not necessarily through purchasing expensive, custom cabinetry or high end bathroom fixtures.

When I work with a client, my goal is always to create their dream kitchen or bathroom while working within their budget and the possibilities and limitations of their existing space. I incorporate the client’s vision into the two essential building blocks of design:

1. A good floor plan. The positioning of the main elements of your room - the work triangle in the kitchen, the plumbing elements in the bath - is critical in maximizing the functionality of the room. In special circumstances, such as working with smaller spaces and moving walls to reallocate space within your home, the floor plan is particularly important in the design.
2. A cohesive visual presentation. The color, style and finish for the cabinets, appliances, plumbing elements, tile, lighting and paint can make or break a room. Decisions for these elements need to be made both with a clear vision in mind and also in relation to each other to achieve a winning design.

By using this approach, I can create a kitchen or bathroom where the functionality of the space reflects the client’s lifestyle, and the look and feel of the space reflect the client’s design style - their dream kitchen or bathroom.
